Esspee’s Mica materials come in two basic forms, Phlogopite and Muscovite. Muscovite Mica materials operate up to a maximum temperature of 500°C whilst Phlogopite grades operate up to 700°C.
Sheets are produced by bonding individual layers of Mica with specially formulated resins which are then pressed, heated and cured. Both grades are available in sheet or paper formats from which we can manufacture tubes, rods or bespoke machined parts. Also available in flexible sheet form, we can bond the Mica to ThermTekTM CF/Bio Soluble paper to make a durable high temperature insulating composite.
